I have been using the 6-button Homematic IP wall switch (HmIP-WRC6) in combination with Home Assistant for several years. I appreciate the easy configuration, the versatile possibilities, and most importantly for me: the integration into the Gira switch program. Now I want to create an alternative to the Word template from technikkram.net and use my newly purchased “Brother P-touch Cube Plus.” In this article, I am providing my template for free download.

The “Brother P-touch Cube Plus” uses TZe tapes in various sizes. For my template, I use 24 mm tapes. The “black on white” (TZe-251) and “black on white” (TZe-N251) non-laminated tapes have proven to be suitable. However, transparent versions can also be used if the sticker is applied to the original Homematic cards.

Warning! The P-touch without “Pro” can only use 12 mm tapes!

The labels were designed for the P-touch Editor software and can be opened accordingly. I assume that all Brother devices compatible with the software and 24 mm tapes can be used.

I have created two templates: one blank template and an example template with icons and text. Different icons can be downloaded as PNG files from pictogrammers.com and inserted into the editor via drag-and-drop.

The two templates are intentionally not centered on the lines. To achieve the correct fit for the switch, the printed label must be slightly trimmed on the right edge. The cut-out for the switch can be carefully removed using nail scissors.
